Odiously selfish
Semper fi, Nancy, and happy birthday to the United States Marine Corps. My family loyalties are to a different branch of the armed services, but every American should appreciate the Corps.
Nancy's point about deans who "cater" to their faculties provides an occasion for me to name what I consider one of the most odiously selfish things I've ever heard escape the lips of a law professor. "The job of the dean," said this professor, "is to stroke our egos as faculty members."
"Stroke"? "Stroke"?! Here's a message to the odiously selfish one: MoneyLaw hereby strokes you right out of the halls of Montezuma. One United States Marine is worth an entire battalion of overprivileged, odiously selfish law professors.
